Hi,

I want to know which focal length showsim is using for the camera. I didn't find any info's about this in the documentation.

This number is buried in the code somewhere and is difficult to find, but I believe it was the typical distance that your eye would be from the computer screen when sitting in front of it. So it's somewhere around 18 inches.

18 inches are about 450 mm. Are you sure? That would be like a real big telescope.

Usually focal length of the eye is around 22mm i think.

 

Its really necessary to have the focal length of the showsim camera for some projects. I would be very happy, if you could have a look into the code.

Very interesting conversation :

It's so importante for imagine a video post production ;-)

If you dig the number in the code may be it's possible we imagine you change this number by a variable numbers.

Because when the model and fire simulation are large, we would have need a fish eyes for immersive vision.
