Having problem importing effects.  I have downloaded the Sim file, and can verify that there are several cakes and effects in them, however when importing the effects I can see only 1 effect.  I was wondering what the problem might be.

Your sim file contained 22 cakes and then a collection of shots used to make each cake. Because all but one of the shots already exist in the stock library, importing them only refreshes the stock library where they already exist. There can not be two instances of the same effect in two different libraries, so when an effect you are importing has the same ID as an effect that is already in the database, it refreshes the already existing effect in whatever library it happens to be in (assuming the imported one has a change date that is later than the one that already exists, otherwise nothing is done). Only the one effect you are seeing imported into your library is new, the rest already exist elsewhere. So that's why it looks like only one effect is being imported. All 22 of your cakes imported for me though, so you should see those when looking at the cake category after the import.

Would this happen to be the Pyro King library floating around? If so I could import the cakes with 4.0.5.0 on one computer , but not into 4.0.5.1

I have the same problem BUT the same ID are strange for me because the SIM file was created with my personal library.
The problem only happen in some computers. I try import the SIM file even after re-instaling the program, and the effects aren't tottaly imported (cakes and Candles and some Sheels)

Please help me
