Mortar Stock:
The Mortar Stock form is a straight forward table of numbers organized by shell size. For each size mortar, you specify how many guns you use per rack, then how many of each rack that you have in stock. Hopefully your racks are consistent in the number of guns used for a given size, which is usually the case. Otherwise there is no way to handle situations in which you have several different rack configurations for the same size mortar, other than listing the most common configuration and accepting potential errors in rack count calculations performed by ShowSim later on.

In the case of the larger size mortars that are usually stationed as single mortars rather
than grouped into a wooden rack frame, just enter “1” for Guns Per Rack.
The numbers specified in this table will be used by ShowSim when calculating rack counts on the summary and setup reports, and also by the Inventory Alert utility when searching for rack shortages based on show dates. |
